History

It all began in 1960. In the natural park of San Rossore there was “Rossella’s”, the restaurant where the gastronomic adventure of Delio, a young waiter, and Giuseppina, a cook, started.
The restaurant and the food were both quite plain and simple; anyway Delio and Giuseppina were able to successfully satisfy the large summer clientele.
In the 1970s the restaurant had to move.
But Delio and Giuseppina, thanks to their strong, tireless and persevering character, managed to start again.
They saw a place on the eastern seashore, in front of the sea, surrounded by the pinewood, the sandy dunes and the brackish intense smell of the sea. They found this place lovely and decided to take it over.
Onda Marina
was the name of this newborn restaurant. Year after year the family of Delio and Giuseppina grew and their sons, Marco and Massimo, began working in the restaurant as well, Marco as a cook and Massimo as a waiter. They found the job exciting and put in it all the passion they could, to create their dream.
The year 2000 not only saw the beginning of a new millennium but also the birth of the restaurant you can see today. The new “Onda Marina” was born from the ashes of the old “Baracca”.
Today the restaurant is run with great skill by the two brothers, Marco and Massimo.
Marco is now an expert cook, and his natural talent has been improved by practice and experience.
Massimo takes care of his guests, and makes them feel satisfied and happy.
